This Privacy Policy explains how Pickle HK (“we”, “us”) handles information about you when you use the Pickle HK website (the “Site”). We are committed to keeping data collection minimal and transparent.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
The Site is a static publication. We do not ask you to register an account, and we do not run advertising, retargeting, or Meta Pixel. The information that may be collected when you visit:
- Server logs by our hosting provider — IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL, and HTTP status. These are standard logs used to operate the Site, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregated usage data such as page views, locale, page type, and engagement events (for example CTA clicks and outbound link clicks). Google may process identifiers and technical data as described in Google’s privacy policy.
- Voluntary contact — if you email us, we receive your email address and the message you send.
We do not collect names, payment details, precise location, or any sensitive personal information through the Site itself.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use Google Analytics 4, which may involve cookies or similar technologies on Google-controlled domains. We do not run advertising cookies, Meta Pixel, or fingerprinting scripts for marketing. 4. Third-party services
We use a small number of third parties to deliver the Site:
- Hosting and content delivery to serve pages globally.
- Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregated traffic and engagement.
- Google Fonts to load the typefaces used in our design. When your browser fetches fonts, Google may receive your IP address as part of the request. Google’s handling of that data is described in Google’s privacy policy.
We do not share or sell information with anyone for marketing purposes.
5. How we use information
We use server logs, analytics, and voluntary contact data only to:
- Operate and secure the Site.
- Respond to questions, corrections, or takedown requests.
- Improve content and navigation based on aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which pages and CTAs are most used).
6. Data retention
Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for the period required to operate and audit the service, typically a few weeks to a few months. Email correspondence is retained as long as we need it to handle your request and for reasonable record-keeping.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, or to object to our processing of it. To exercise any of these rights, email enquiry@pickle.hk and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, our processing of server logs is based on our legitimate interest in operating the Site securely.
8. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we hold information about a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Security
We use reputable hosting providers and standard transport-layer encryption (HTTPS). No internet service is perfectly secure; if a security incident occurs that materially affects users, we will publish a notice on the Site and inform regulators where required.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site evolves (for example, if we change analytics or add a contact form). The updated version takes effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date will reflect the change. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for a reasonable period.
